Canberra is well positioned to host delegates from regional centres as well as capital cities, with enhanced connectivity and easy access for your delegates.
Our destination is placing significant focus on a return to international flights when border restrictions allow, and on re-opening routes to Asia and New Zealand.
Direct rail and coach services to Sydney and the South Coast are alternatives for delegates, with Murrays Coaches operating daily trips to and from Sydney, Narooma and Wollongong. The national freeways make Canberra an easy three-hour drive from Sydney.
Transport Canberra’s bus network, now with a new electric bus fleet, connects you to all major routes within the city and offers a frequent and reliable service. Bus Route 3 connects you to the airport for the price of a standard single ticket. The Red Explorer Loop Bus offers a hop-on/hop-off service, departing from the city and taking passengers to Canberra’s major attractions.
Canberra’s light rail connects you from North Canberra to the CBD with a fast, frequent and comfortable journey along Northbourne Avenue. Construction of Stage 2 has commenced, initially extending to Commonwealth Park, and eventually connecting to South Canberra.
