The National Museum of Australia provides a unique venue that will impress your guests. The Museum sits proudly on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin, has an abundance of natural light and combines indoor and outdoor spaces to provide a magnificent backdrop for any function.

THE MUSEUM VENUES
The Gandel Atrium

With soaring ceilings and expansive windows, this stunning architectural space provides a unique experience for your guests, who will dine among objects representing some of Australia’s defining moments. The venue also has a large, high-definition screen and a customised sound system.

Bay Window

Suitable for breakfast presentations, cocktail receptions or dinners, the Bay Window offers both dramatic architecture and intimacy within the larger Atrium space. Vast curved windows with views across the lake provide a stunning backdrop to your event.

Peninsula Room

A versatile venue for day or evening events. Located on the water’s edge, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer an abundance of natural light and lake views. Guests also have exclusive use of an external deck and undercover outdoor area, perfect for pre-dinner drinks or a conference breakout space.

Museum Cafe

Enjoying panoramic views over Lake Burley Griffin, this award-winning space also offers an outdoor deck and balcony space (on request) for your evening event.

Visions Theatre

A dedicated lecture theatre suitable for talks, presentations and screenings.

Gallery Mezzanine (opening 2021)

The Museum’s new event space will offer an unrivalled guest experience. An open venue available for your exclusive use, the Mezzanine overlooks the Museum’s new environmental history gallery. Available as a breakout area, display space, cocktail lounge or dramatic dinner venue, guests will find themselves surrounded by objects and stories, making for a unique and memorable event.

Visions Landing (opening 2021)

Overlooking the lake with floor-to-ceiling windows, this venue is the perfect intimate dinner location for smaller groups.

CATERING

Award-winning Broadbean Catering has established a reputation for outstanding service and delicious food using local produce in menus that reflect the season.
